TOEIC Speaking & Writing Test
The TOEIC Speaking & Writing Test is a computer-based assessment designed to evaluate a candidate’s ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English within professional and everyday contexts.
Unlike traditional oral examinations, this test does not require a face-to-face examiner. Instead, candidates respond to prompts directly on a computer by:
- Recording spoken responses to audio or written prompts in the Speaking section.
- Typing written responses to assigned tasks in the Writing section.
The examination measures practical communication skills that are relevant to international workplaces and business environments.
Assessment Areas
- Speaking: Evaluates pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary, grammar, and the ability to express ideas clearly in spoken English.
- Writing: Assesses the ability to produce well-structured, coherent, and grammatically accurate written responses.
Scoring System
The TOEIC Speaking & Writing Test places equal emphasis on both components, ensuring a balanced evaluation of productive English language skills.
